Crime DOES Pay: DeSantis Law Won’t Stop the Bad Guys from Suing Self-Defenders

Florida Governor Ron DeSantis recently signed a bill into law to prevent frivolous lawsuits against insurance companies, including lawsuits against armed self-defenders' lawful use of force. But it appears that crime DOES pay and DeSantis' law may not be enough to stop them. Why is this law necessary and what happens to the good guy with a gun after the smoke clears?
