Colm Keane has successfully represented people from all walks of life accused of everything from traffic violations to high-level felonies. He is a former prosecutor and current criminal defense attorney with a breadth of jury trial experience involving both misdemeanors and felonies. Colm has worked on many cases resulting in not guilty verdicts, dismissals, or significant reductions for his clients, including Driving While Intoxicated, drug crimes, thefts, firearms crimes, aggravated assaults, and assaults. Additionally, Colm worked as a member of defense teams representing clients accused of murder. Colm has also helped many clients clear their records of past errors by obtaining expunctions and orders of non-disclosure throughout Texas. During his career, Colm has worked on criminal defense, family law, and various civil cases.

Colm was born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, and attended Strake Jesuit College Preparatory before earning his B.S. in Print Journalism from Texas State University. After a brief stint as a journalist, he enrolled at South Texas College of Law. Colm was admitted to the Texas bar in 2013 and began working as a prosecutor with the Galveston County District Attorney’s Office. He first entered private practice as a criminal defense and family trial lawyer with Krieger & Tillinger and tried many contested matters during his years there.


Colm is recognized as one of Super Lawyers Rising Stars, earned multiple Lead Counsel Ratings, and is a member of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association, Harris County Criminal Lawyers Association, Houston Young Lawyers Association, and Galveston County Criminal Defense Lawyers Association.
